About Local Government Week

Annually, municipalities throughout the province designate the third week of October as Local Government Week. This initiative is designed to raise awareness among young people and the general public regarding the significant contributions local government makes to our communities. Schools and municipalities are urged to enlighten students and emphasize the crucial role of local civic institutions.
